New book by Dr. Arcala-Hall out now

A book titled “Lockdown and Lowdown: The Politics of COVID-19 Pandemic Response in the Philippines” authored by Dr. Rosalie Arcala-Hall of the Division of Social Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is out now.
This compendium presents accounts of the COVID-19 pandemic response from the perspective of local governments within the frame of national-local political relations and exigent arrangements under a state of emergency.
It features two chapters co-authored by Arcala-Hall with UPV faculty, Prof. Juhn Chris Espia of CAS and Prof. Duvince Zhalimar Dumpit of the College of Management. In addition, the compendium includes a co-authored chapter with Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Philip Ian Padilla.
